Purdue's Office of the Provost has selected six faculty members to participate in the Committee on Institutional Cooperation's Academic Leadership Program during the 2011-12 academic year. The new ALP Fellows are profiled in this

Purdue has named Fellows to the program each year since 1989. During the course of the year, CIC-ALP Fellows will travel to three host campuses to address the challenges facing higher education and learn more about the abilities and knowledge necessary for academic leadership. In addition to the three seminars hosted each year on the various campuses, Purdue's program includes monthly meetings with campus leaders. This year the Fellows will travel to Indiana University, University of Chicago and Penn State.

Faculty members are nominated for this honor by their colleges/schools, and Fellows are selected based on their demonstrated potential for and interest in university administration. The  2011-12 Purdue Fellows have been recommended to the provost by a panel of former CIC-ALP Fellows who reviewed the application materials.

The CIC offers many other growth and learning opportunities for faculty.  To learn more, please visit the Faculty section of the CIC web site.
